Recruit the right person
Section titled “Recruit the right person”Ensure that all personnel with access to your company information and assets — employees, contractors, and temporary staff:
- Have had their identity verified
- Are legally allowed to work in the deployed location
- Are suitable to have access
- Agree to comply with government policies, standards, protocols, and requirements that protect people, information, and assets from harm
Ensure ongoing suitability
Section titled “Ensure ongoing suitability”Check the ongoing suitability of all personnel, and address any issues that might affect their access to government information and assets.
Manage departure
Section titled “Manage departure”Manage departures to reduce the risks to personnel, data, and assets when people leave. Ensure that all access rights, security passes, and assets are returned and that employees understand their continuing obligations.
Manage security clearances
Section titled “Manage security clearances”Grant access to work locations only to individuals with the matching security clearance. Monitor the ongoing suitability of all clearance holders and notify the relevant teams of any changes in clearance.
